Brides Makeup

Your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your life, romantic, special and memorable. The most important thing is to look and feel the best version of you on your big day, clean flawless beautiful makeup.

Being freelance I don’t work from a premises, I arrive at your home, hotel or venue which is more relaxed and provide all the Makeup, brushes and materials. I cater for all types of wedding makeup, from classic, natural, bold, vintage, younger ages, middle age or mature ages, larger weddings, medium or small, whatever the numbers of your bridal party I can accommodate.

I use high end Makeup such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Estee Lauder, to name but a few, and use high end Primers and powders/fixing sprays to preserve the makeup from morning till night.

Brides Makeup Trial

Your Wedding Makeup Trial plays an important part in achieving the right Makeup and look for your big day. During a Makeup Trial sometimes it can tricky to communicate your exact vision. I encourage all clients to communicate freely with their likes and dislikes, my goal is to work with you to achieve your vision, tweaking where needed.

Makeup Trials are booked 6-8 weeks before your wedding day, a detailed Makeup Trial at your home or hotel which is more relaxed and enables us to work together to achieve the look you have in mind or desire. I allow 1-3hrs for a trial so we can try eye colours and styles of Makeup, colours/styles that complement your skin tone, dress, theme, and bridesmaids, achieving the perfect look for your big day. Makeup on your Wedding day will take 1hr.

Bridesmaids

Your Bridesmaids will play an important role on your wedding day. They will ensure you look beautiful and support you in every way. Hair, Makeup, Nails and Dress complete your perfect Bride and Bridesmaid.

For your Bridesmaids, a consultation should be arranged in advance before your Wedding day. We will discuss looks that work best with dress choices, Makeup that compliments the Bride and Bridesmaids.

Makeup Trials can be booked on request for Bridesmaids if required.

Mother of the Bride

Being a mum of three daughters myself, I hope to one day be part of my daughter’s big day. My Nan was part of my day, she was my rock and without her I would have been impossible. Often mothers feel it’s their daughter’s time to shine, the focus of attention on the bride, but also a very proud moment for mum.

For your mum, please schedule a consultation in advance of your wedding day. A Makeup Trial can be booked if required.

Mature Brides Makeup

As a mature woman myself, I understand some of the battles we may face with mature skin and the ageing process, especially when it comes to eyes. Hooded eyelids, wrinkles, dark circles, bags, and sparse eyebrows can often make our eyes look tired, heavy, and sometimes older than we actually are. Applying subtle makeup with natural tones of eyeshadow can naturally lift and brighten the eyes, creating an optical illusion that makes the eyes appear lifted and vibrant, with no Botox, fillers, cosmetic surgery, or slug eyebrows in sight!

Being freelance I don’t work from a premises, I arrive at your home, hotel or venue which is more relaxed and provide all the makeup, brushes and materials, using high-end makeup, primers, foundations, shadows etc… and skin care products, all designed to prolong your makeup for a long-lasting natural finish.

Makeup takes 1hr to complete on your wedding day.

Mature Brides Makeup Trial

Your Wedding Makeup Trial plays an important part in achieving the right Makeup and look for your big day.

During your Makeup Trial, getting to know your comfort levels with Makeup and what you feel works best for you is my priority – I’m happy to give professional guidance if you’re unsure of what you’d like to achieve, but ultimately my goal is to make you feel comfortable and keep you looking you, you at your best.

Makeup Trials are booked 6-8 weeks before your wedding day.
Please allow 1-3 hours for your makeup trial, I come to your home trialling makeup, foundations that complement your skin type and tone, powders, blush, eye/lip colours, and styles of makeup, achieving the perfect look for your big day.

Preparation

Skin – I advise my clients to prepare the face in advance for the day of the wedding. A good skin regime, cleanse, light exfoliation, tone to tighten pores and moisturise. Makeup can cover a multitude of sins, acne, broken veins, uneven skin tone caused by sun damage, age spots, moles and even Tattoos, what it cannot conceal is dry skin, no mater how good the makeup.

Lips – Lip balm applied daily to prevent cracked dry lips.

Eyes – Eyebrows are the most important and often neglected part of the face, they frame and accentuate the eyes defining the eye makeup. Shape/tidy the brows ready for your makeup.

Nails – For strong nails and growth spurt, a cube of jelly a day.

My top tip for a fresh faced bride on the day is a good nights sleep. If you have pre-wedding nerves and just can’t sleep, take a warm bubble bath before bed and relax, it really does help.

Wedding Day Ready – I advise all my clients to be Hair, Makeup and Dress ready 30 minutes before you’re due to leave. It gives you time to breath, relax and drink in the special day, a nice glass of Prosecco and enjoy the moment.
